Our Services
Medical Gastroenterology
At Ashwini Gastro and Liver Unit, we utilize advanced technologies and techniques to ensure the highest quality of care. Our services include:
Endoscopy
Endoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that allows us to examine the digestive tract using a flexible tube equipped with a camera. This procedure is essential for diagnosing conditions such as ulcers, inflammation, and tumors.

Colonoscopy
Colonoscopy involves the examination of the colon and rectum using a colonoscope. This procedure is crucial for early detection of colorectal cancer and other bowel disorders. Our skilled team performs this procedure with utmost care, ensuring patient comfort throughout.
ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)
ERCP is a specialized procedure used to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the bile ducts, gallbladder, and pancreas. It combines endoscopy and fluoroscopy to visualize and address issues like bile duct stones and strictures.

Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
EUS is a powerful diagnostic tool that combines endoscopy and ultrasound to obtain detailed images of the digestive tract and surrounding organs. This technique is particularly effective for assessing pancreatic and biliary conditions.
Third Space Endoscopy
Our unit is equipped to perform third space endoscopy, a cutting-edge technique that allows for therapeutic interventions in the submucosal layer of the gastrointestinal tract. This innovative approach enhances our ability to treat a variety of conditions.

Video Capsule Endoscopy
Video capsule endoscopy is a non-invasive procedure that allows us to visualize the small intestine using a small, swallowable capsule equipped with a camera. This procedure is particularly useful for diagnosing conditions such as Crohn’s disease and unexplained gastrointestinal bleeding.
Pediatric Endoscopy
Understanding that children require specialized care, we offer pediatric endoscopy services. Our team is trained to ensure a comfortable experience for our younger patients, using child-friendly techniques and equipment.

Neuromotility Studies
We are proud to introduce neuromotility studies in Kurnool City, including:
- High-Resolution Esophageal Manometry (HREM) : This test evaluates esophageal function and helps diagnose swallowing disorders.
- 24-Hour pH Monitoring : This procedure assesses acid reflux by measuring the pH levels in the esophagus over a 24-hour period.
- Hydrogen Breath Test : This non-invasive test helps diagnose conditions like lactose intolerance and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).
All procedures at Ashwini Gastro and Liver Unit are performed under sedation, ensuring a painless experience for our patients.
Advanced Equipment & Facilities
We are proud to utilize the latest Olympus endoscopy systems, including the Olympus 190 processor and the ME3 endosono unit. These advanced tools enhance our diagnostic capabilities and improve the quality of our procedures, allowing for clearer imaging and more precise interventions.
We take pride in our state-of-the-art operating theaters and laparoscopic systems, which enable us to perform both diagnostic and surgical procedures with precision and safety. Our commitment to utilizing the latest technology ensures that our patients receive the best possible care.
