First Trimester Screening
First Trimester Screening involves a Nuchal Translucency (NT) scan, where we assess the fetus for chromosomal abnormalities such as Down syndrome. This is achieved through detailed ultrasonography combined with maternal blood tests, including the first trimester Double Marker or Quadruple tests and NIPT to evaluate the risk and ensure early detection and timely decision.
TIFFA (Targeted Imaging for Fetal Anomalies)
TIFFA is a detailed scan performed to detect structural abnormalities in the fetus. This ultrasound examination allows for early identification of congenital anomalies while also assessing fetal growth and development to ensure optimal prenatal care.
Growth Scan
Growth scan, is a crucial ultrasound assessment that monitors the growth parameters of the fetus. This scan is essential for detecting intrauterine growth restrictions (IUGR) and other growth-related abnormalities. In high-risk pregnancies, it aids in determining fetal well-being and helps to identify the optimal timing for delivery, ensuring the best possible outcome for both the mother and baby
Prenatal Diagnosis and Treatment
Prenatal diagnosis is crucial in pregnancies where timely and informed decision-making is essential. Procedures such as amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and fetal blood sampling play a pivotal role in diagnosing chromosomal or genetic conditions and guiding the parents for optimal outcomes.
Prenatal interventions are critical in the management of high risk pregnancies. In cases like Rh incompatibility, intrauterine blood transfusions are performed to treat fetal anemia. For twin pregnancies, procedures such as selective fetal reduction and interstitial laser therapy are utilized to address complications like twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), optimizing outcomes for both the mother and fetuses.
